Job Summary
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions, and ensuring accurate financial reporting for the organization. This role requires an expert in accounting systems such as Tally, QuickBooks, and Odoo ERP solutions, with a strong focus on process improvement, industry training, and effective communication skills. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of accounting experience with a solid background in ERP solutions and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and analyze monthly and yearly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Assist in financial analysis for performance improvement, offering insights into financial variances, trends, and budgeting forecasts.
Conduct comprehensive month-end and year-end closings, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
ERP & Accounting Systems Management:
Proficiently use Tally, QuickBooks, and Odoo to manage accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
Actively manage and optimize ERP systems for financial transactions and reporting, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
Oversee system updates, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the system supports ongoing financial operations.
Industry Training and Guidance:
Leverage extensive experience in the contact industry to provide training and support to junior accounting staff.
Ensure team members are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge to manage financial tasks effectively.
Share best practices for managing financial operations within the industry and continuously enhance staff capabilities.
Compliance and Internal Controls:
Ensure compliance with industry standards and financial regulations, including tax laws, local accounting practices, and organizational policies.
Conduct internal audits, identifying areas of financial risk and implementing controls to protect company assets.
Assist in the preparation for external audits, ensuring accurate financial documentation and timely submission.
Communication & Leadership:
Use excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Collaborate with senior management and operational departments to align financial strategies with overall business goals.
Mentor junior staff, ensuring the development of skills and fostering a collaborative, positive work environment.
Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement, helping the company streamline financial operations and increase efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years of proficiency in Tally, QuickBooks, and ERP systems like Odoo.
Strong experience in the contact industry, including managing financial operations and offering training support to staff.
Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software, including Tally, QuickBooks, and Odoo, with the ability to implement and manage ERP solutions.
In-depth understanding of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and compliance procedures.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to both internal and external stakeholders.
Leadership qualities, with experience mentoring and developing junior team members.
